My favorite oufit as a pirate Captain.

Crimson velvet (alas, acetate instead of silk) with matching acetate lining. Black trimming and brass buttons from Germany. The waistcoat is a nice poly mix with the back of heavy vintage cotton (that my step dad gave to me, I've bunches of old fabric) with a split down the center back from the middle of the back down where it laces up. Pantaloons are of heavy cotton with silvery metal buttons, french fly front, a style a la Barbossa. Black light cotton ruffled shirt with silvery metal buttons.
This has a matching hat that is not shown. Massive period style with antique black plumage, of crimson velvet trimmed in black thick lace and gold trimming.

The outfit is currently going through an overhaul to make it a bit more period accurate.
But am looking to sell it so I can obtain more natural and period accurate fabrics to make a period accurate outfit.

It's a fav piece of mine. It's currently being reworked. Again. :) Always trying to stay ahead of the fashion of the day. ;) One has to look their best, aye?

Indeed. Pirates dress as they must, not like rag dolls on the streets of London begging for scraps. ;) Especially one in charge of a grand ship like the RESURRECTION. ;)
